Approach towards the environment
Okamoto Machine Tool Works acquired the International Standard ISO 14001 of the Environmental Management Systems certification in August 2007.
We are actively working towards improvement of the social environment through all the business activities which includes design, development, production and sales.
Environmental Policy
- We promote the development of better technologies and products for the protection of global environment and provide the society with them.

Measures taken in the manufacturing plant
In Annaka Plant, there are several large-scale grinders which equipped with constant temperature control booth and the silicon liquid processor. This grinding lubricant treatment room is used to treat the effluent which is generated by the semiconductor equipment test.
Efforts are put towards decreasing the environmental impact; the effluent is recycled by filtering and processing which significantly reducing the industrial waste.
The casting plant newly installed in Okamoto (Thai) Company Ltd. is a factory with environment-friendly facilities that aims at a clean foundry, and the collection of dust and gas, and collection and recycling of sand.
Product development
We are making efforts to develop the products which work towards the significant reduction of hydraulic fluid and lubricants. Water injection equipment that is capable of reducing industrial waste such as paper filters used in the filtration treatment process of the grinding lubricant.
